If you shipped an AI tool and woke up to $10k MRR in six weeks with zero ad spend, what would you assume did the heavy lifting?

Luck?

An audience?

Or a stupidly simple, focused marketing system?

That’s the Sleek story — an AI mobile app designer at sleek.design that lets you “vibe design” mobile apps by chatting with AI.

This is how they went from nothing to five-figure MRR in weeks, and what you can steal.

The problem

Sleek is built by Mattia Pomelli, a developer-designer hybrid who had already been building design tools like Reweb before this.

His background: 8+ years coding, strong interest in UI, and a run at previous AI UI products for web.

While tools like Lovable.ai and others were attacking website design, Mattia noticed mobile app design felt ignored: tons of indie founders wanted apps, but the visual side was a bottleneck.

He kept hearing the same thing from founders and builders:

  • “I can build the app, but my UI looks bad.”
  • “Hiring a designer is too slow and too expensive.”

That’s the “why” behind Sleek:

Turn any mobile app idea into beautiful, production-ready screens in minutes, with exports straight to Figma or code.

Not “AI for everything.”
Just: AI for mobile app UI.

That niche choice is the first big lesson.

Built in three weeks, on top of old wins

Sleek wasn’t a cold start.

Mattia and two friends had already spent over a year building design tools and infrastructure for earlier products.

Instead of starting from scratch, they reused the tech:

  • Reused design-generation logic from their previous tool Reweb.
  • Wrapped it in a new UX aimed purely at mobile screens.
  • Hooked it up to a clean landing page with a dead-simple promise:
“Idea to mobile app designs in minutes.”

According to Mattia’s own posts and teardown articles, Sleek was built in about three weeks by repurposing that existing stack.

Tech stack (from a Rasp breakdown and founder posts):

  • Next.js, Supabase, Vercel, Stripe, Posthog, Resend.

So the “build” phase looked like:

  1. Reuse working code and patterns from older products.
  2. Narrow the problem to only mobile UI.
  3. Ship a focused, opinionated V1 instead of a platform that does everything.

If you’re on your third or fourth product, Sleek is a reminder: your unfair advantage is your scrap pile.

From 0 → $10k MRR in ~6 weeks

Sleek launched in late 2025 and the revenue ramp is unusually transparent because Mattia shared it everywhere: Reddit, X, and podcasts.

Here’s the rough self-reported timeline:

  • Launch month (late 2025):
Built in just under a month and launched publicly.

  • 2 weeks in – $2.5k MRR:
Reddit post: “We just went from 0 to 2.5k MRR in two weeks. Here’s how.”

  • 3 weeks in – $6k MRR:
Another Reddit thread: “From 0 to 6k MRR, in 3 weeks.”

  • About 4 weeks in – $8k MRR:
“From 0 to 8k MRR (bootstrapped): our vibe design tool for mobile apps.”

  • Within ~4–6 weeks – $10k MRR:
Multiple breakdowns and interviews describe Sleek hitting $10k MRR in around a month to six weeks, with no marketing spend.

Sleek reached $10K MRR in six weeks without spending a single dollar on marketing.

By early 2026, public case studies and a TrustMRR listing show Sleek tracking at low five figures per month with hundreds of active subscriptions, though exact MRR varies by source and some aggregators mix in other products.
